We are so excited to inform you that the Schall Coding Club will be hosting an event at the Saginaw Barnes & Noble on Tittabawasee Rd., Saturday, November 12th from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. This event will include demonstrating how we code, an in-store scavenger hunt, and cupcake decorating, as well as hands on robotics and game creation. All coding club members, families, and friends are invited to attend this unique event. It is also open to the public as it will be taking place in the store. Come see us and have a little fun learning what we do from the stars of the show, our coders! Part fundraiser, part fun, Barnes & Noble will donate a portion of each sale made by anyone mentioning the Schall Coding Club back to us. This includes purchases (other than memberships and gift cards) made throughout the store and cafe at any time during the day. Also, purchases made online using the code 12013124 at Barnesandnoble.com from November 12th - 18th will be included. What a great opportunity to do a little early Christmas shopping and support the Schall Coding Club in the process!

Because we just love our kids and want to give them more opportunities, we are working on expanding beyond just the coding programs of last year into more advanced areas. It also doesn't hurt when Barnes & Noble has a sale and coupons. One of our lead teachers just can't turn down a deal. We will be working more this year on writing grants as well as doing some interesting fundraising to be able to afford more things like these. Be on the lookout for updates coming soon about these fundraisers as well as some fun events planned in the community.
